100 Years of Stainless Steel exhibition opens in Beijing

During 2012, the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) and members of the Team Stainless network are celebrating a century since stainless steel was first discovered and commercialised. To mark the occasion a travelling exhibition has been prepared. The exhibition will open in Beijing, China during ISSF’s 16th Annual Conference.

The 100 Years of Stainless Steel exhibition will be open to visitors in the Statesman’s Hall of the St. Regis Hotel Beijing on 16 and 17 May 2012 from 09:00 - 18:00.

As well as information about the history of the stainless steel industry, the exhibition details some of the many applications for stainless, its alloying elements, and its recycling and environmental footprint.

The exhibition also contains a number of stainless steel artworks which are available for purchase.
